After leaving Tunisia, we sailed to Turkiye
Unfortunately COVID struck the world and we were unable to carry out any work for a year.
Eventually we got back to Galaxi and started the last modifications that we had planned:
- Extending the sterns
- Finishing and Fixing the new hardtop
- Building a Dinghy platform

The new longer sterns
Building the longer sterns was not as difficult as lengthening the bows.
It turned out rather challenging because of the intense heat on the Turkish summer, there were raging fires that forced road closures and lost property

The Hardtop
The hardtop has been designed to provide shelter from the sun and rain in most conditions and support 1.5Kw of solar panels
The top is honeicomb sandwich, while the upricht are composite box sections. The whole structure is just 28kg.

The Dinghy platform
This platform has been copied from the Fountain Pajot ‘Salina 48’ catamaran.
It provides shelter to the dinghy and doubles as a sundeck and night sleeping ‘under the stars’…
